Beef and Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (85/15)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it into crumbles, for 6-7 minutes until cooked through.
  2. 2Drain excess fat, then add the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. 3Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar, and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. 4Remove from heat and stir in the sesame oil.
  5. 5Divide the cooked rice among bowls and top with the beef mixture.
  6. 6Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
