Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef (85/15)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2/3 cup water
- 15 oz canned refried beans
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Salsa and hot sauce for serving
Instructions
- 1Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes, breaking it into crumbles.
- 2Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water, simmering for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- 3Warm the refried beans in a small saucepan or the microwave.
- 4Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable, then layer each with refried beans, rice, seasoned beef, and shredded cheese.
- 5Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a burrito.
- 6Optionally, sear the burritos seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side to crisp the outside.
- 7Serve with salsa and hot sauce.
