Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup diced ham
- 2 tbsp diced green bell pepper
- 2 tbsp diced onion
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- 1Whisk the eggs with the milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.
- 2Melt half the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat and sauté the ham, bell pepper, and onion until the vegetables soften, about 3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3Wipe the pan, add the remaining butter, and pour in the eggs, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
- 4As the eggs begin to set, gently push the cooked edges toward the center with a spatula, tilting the pan so uncooked egg flows to the edge.
- 5When the eggs are mostly set but still slightly glossy on top, spoon the ham mixture and cheese over one half.
- 6Fold the omelet in half over the filling and slide it onto a plate to serve.
