Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought or homemade pound cake, cubed
  • 3 cups mixed berries
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Toss the mixed berries with the sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
  2. 2Layer a third of the cubed cake in the bottom of a large glass trifle bowl.
  3. 3Spoon a third of the berries and their juices over the cake, followed by a third of the pudding and a third of the whipped cream.
  4. 4Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a final layer of whipped cream on top.
  5. 5Garnish with sliced almonds or extra berries if desired.
  6. 6Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to let the layers set.
