Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar, for coating
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon, for coating
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- 3Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
- 4Mix in the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- 5Combine the coating sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then roll balls of dough in the mixture to coat.
- 6Place the balls on the prepared sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers still look soft.
- 7Cool on the sheet for a couple of minutes before moving to a wire rack.
