Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta

Ingredients
- 1 lb penne or fettuccine
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more for pasta water
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- 1Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 10 to 11 minutes, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- 2While the pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and saute the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3Pour in the heavy cream and broth, bring to a gentle simmer, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 4Whisk in the Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until smooth and creamy.
- 5Add the drained pasta to the sauce and toss well, using reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency as needed.
- 6Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
