Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham, about 7 to 8 lb
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice or orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 325°F and place the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan.
  2. 2Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife, cutting about 1/4 inch deep.
  3. 3Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 1 hour, roughly 12 to 15 minutes per pound, until warmed through.
  4. 4Meanwhile, whisk together the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, juice, cloves, and cinnamon in a saucepan and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until syrupy.
  5. 5Remove the foil, brush the ham generously with the glaze, and return it to the oven uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes.
  6. 6Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 140°F before removing, then let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
