Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back pork ribs
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
- 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 300°F and remove the thin membrane from the back of each rack of ribs by loosening a corner with a knife and pulling it off.
- 2Mix the brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne, then rub the mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
- 3Wrap each rack tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet, then bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is very tender and pulls back from the bone.
- 4Carefully open the foil, drain off excess liquid, and brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
- 5Increase the oven temperature to 425°F and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
- 6Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the bones to serve.
