- 4 boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

- 2Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 3Add the chops and sear for 4 to 5 minutes per side without moving them, until a deep golden crust forms.
- 4Reduce the heat to medium, add the butter, garlic, and thyme, and tilt the pan to spoon the melted butter over the chops for about 2 minutes.
- 5Check doneness with a meat thermometer, pulling the chops once the center reaches 145°F.
- 6Rest the chops on a plate for 5 minutes, then spoon the garlic butter over the top and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
