Honey Garlic Salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  2. 2Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the salmon fillets skin-side up.
  3. 3Sear for 4 minutes until golden, then flip the fillets over.
  4. 4Pour the honey garlic sauce into the pan and reduce the heat to medium.
  5. 5Cook for another 4 to 5 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets as it thickens, until the salmon flakes easily and the glaze is sticky.
  6. 6Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
