Lemon Butter Baked Salmon

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- 2Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- 3In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- 4Spoon the butter mixture evenly over each fillet and top with a few lemon slices.
- 5Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- 6Spoon any pan juices back over the fillets before serving.
