Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split

Instructions

  1. 1Heat 1 tbsp oil on a griddle or large skillet and cook onion and pepper until softened; set aside.
  2. 2Add remaining oil and cook the sliced steak in batches, chopping it with a spatula as it browns.
  3. 3Season the steak with salt and pepper and return the onion and pepper to the pan.
  4. 4Divide the mixture into 4 portions on the griddle and top each with 2 slices of provolone.
  5. 5Let cheese melt, then scoop each portion into a hoagie roll.
  6. 6Serve immediately.
